2011 Annual Benefit Auction at the Greenstone Building in Yellowknife, NT.
The Canadian National Men’s Sledge Hockey team and Denise McKee, Executive Director for the NWT Disabilities Council, help to increase disability awareness and council members, during the Sledge Hockey Training Camp’s - Open to the Public Day. The Men’s Sledge Hockey Team provided a signed jersey to be sold at the 2011 Annual Benefit Auction. People that attended were amazed at the speed and athleticism involved in the sport.
The Invuik Outreach worker, along with the local disabilities committee hosted a Valentine's Day tea for persons with disabilities and elders in the community.
